Corpus Christi-area terminals loaded nearly 2.4 MMb/d (or 16.7 MMbbl) of crude oil for the week ended September 16, the highest weekly volume from the region. Nineteen vessels loaded in the area last week, a record tally of crude tankers loaded in a single week.
With these shipments included, this region has loaded about 1.9 MMb/d ( or 485 MMbbl) of crude oil for export so far this year, accounting for 60% of overall Gulf Coast shipments. Houston-area terminals have loaded the second highest share of exports so far this year, at 732 Mb/d, a 24% share of the overall cargoes.
